China's emergence as an economic force and its growing interdependence with the world economy, is one of the most important global trends of our time. For this reason, improving understanding of China's evolving prominence in the world will be of key importance both in China itself and abroad for many years to come. The Center for China in the World Economy (CCWE) at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University is a policy research center for studying and promoting China's integration in the world economy. Established in September 2004, the CCWE aspires to become an internationally recognized center of research and training that governments, corporations, and others come to for deepening their understanding of China in the world economy. The CCWE is
privileged to have the generous financial support of BP for the Center's establishment and initial operations.
